I've found that an alternate site to find great airfare deals is www.airfarewatchdog.com. They manually search for the best fares across the airline's own websites as well as discount carriers like Southwest and Skybus. Unfortunately, Farecast and others do not cover any of these, so you never know if you're getting the best deal.
